Waiting for the holidays and big events can be so hard! Rather than wishing precious time away, we came up with ways to make the wait more fun and exciting. Whether it's for 2 days or 2 years, our countdowns can be adjusted to count each day, week or month you want! Rather than the throwaway paper chains that must be remade each year and are at risk of toddlers destroying, we created "paper" chains from felt that interlock or use snaps! They're reusable, durable, and come in all the colors of the rainbow to mix and match and design as you please!
We also came up with a handcrafted and hand painted wood countdown with peg holes and grooves in the base for interchangeable charms/pieces to fit every holiday and event! So make a felt "paper" chain that wraps around the house to countdown to your missionary coming home. Or watch as the Paratrooper magnet slowly descends to the house below when dad or mom returns from deployment. Our countdowns will help keep the joy in the present moment.

Rebekah Johnson is married with 3 children; 2 boys and 1 girl. Coming up with these countdowns is just another way she can connect with her children and help them endure the long awaited birthday or holiday season. Including three different ways to count down on the interchangeable wood countdowns allows each child to participate and prevents any fights that would otherwise ensue over "who gets to move the Angel closer to baby Jesus?"
She also grew up as a daughter of an Air Force veteran of 25 yrs. Deployments were very familiar and having to count down the days until "daddy comes home" never seemed to get easier. With Clever Fox Crafts she hopes to ease the pain of the long wait just a little as children all over the world await their loved ones' return.
Rebekah majored in graphic design at Brigham Young University - Idaho. She's always enjoyed crafting of all kinds for decades and even keeps up with scrapbooking her children's lives. Clever Fox Crafts allows her to use all of her talents in design and create new skills in woodworking and painting!
Rebekah hopes to include magnet charms and pegs for as many holidays, events and themes she can come up with! Counting down can be used for anything and everything and she wants to tell everyone about it!
Too often we are told to "hurry up and wait" or "I can't wait until ___ is over," but all that does is wish precious time with our loved ones away. Creating memories and traditions that will stand the test of time rather than regret of trying to make time go by faster.
